August 2021 saw the first ever Poetry Month, an ambitious new initiative and a long overdue national celebration of poetry in all its forms. Pitch created a targeted publicity campaign as well as a social media, stakeholder and ambassador engagement strategy which was executed by the Poetry Month team, in-house. Raising the profile of the new celebration with key media and stakeholders generated awareness of the project and worked to demystify poetry for a broad general audience. Utilising Red Room’s commissioned poems and content, Pitch created a number of key media partnerships who broadcast and promoted this celebration widely.
